ASK

ASK, also known as ASK ITALIAN (Pronounced A-S-K after the initials of the founding brothers Adam and Samuel Kaye as opposed to the common misconception a:sk)[citation needed] is a British casual dining restaurant chain that serves Italian cuisine. It operates in 120 locations in the UK.[1]
The chain was founded by brothers Adam and Samuel Kaye in 1993, and floated on AIM in 1995. The chain was the subject of a "take private in 2004[clarification needed].[2] It is now operated as part of the Gondola Group.
Specializing in Sicilian cuisine its name is an abbreviation of Authentic Sicilian Kitchen (although as the chain was founded by the Kaye brothers (now directors of Prezzo), it might also possibly be an abbreviation for Adam and Samuel Kaye).

Charity Fundraising

In early 2013 ASK switched on Pennies, the electronic charity box in all their restaurants, giving their customers the option to top up their bill by 20p and donate to charity Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. [3]
